Kid Explorers Club in partnership with MAUD FONTENOY FOUNDATION.
Set sail to discover the cultural and artistic jewels of the Ionian and Adriatic Seas with PONANT. During this 8-day cruise, L’Austral will take you to Greece, Montenegro, Croatia and Italy.
Throughout your journey, you will benefit from an excursion included per person per port of call, to choose from a selection offered by PONANT. During this cruise, enjoy a unique truffle-based experience from Rovinj, discover Croatian culinary traditions from Dubrovnik, or visit the former shipyard in Aci Trezza from Taormina. The diversity of experiences on offer promises you intense and varied moments (to discover the full range of excursions, go to the itinerary tab).
Your ship will leave Valletta, the capital of Malta and former stronghold of the Knights of the Order of Malta and set sail towards Sicily. In Taormina, the streets will lead you to the impressive ancient theatre, where the quality of the acoustics is exceptional. And as a constant backdrop: the majestic Mount Etna!
Then, L’Austral will call at Otranto, a town located in the magnificent Puglia region and will reach Montenegro and the city of Kotor. Nestled in a bay surrounded by wooded mountains, its old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its medieval architecture.
You will then head to the aptly named “Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Surrounded by medieval ramparts, its terracotta-tiled roofs, its palaces, cloisters and fountains are bound to impress you and will plunge you into the heart of Croatian history.
Following a port of call in the picturesque port of Hvar, you will continue to sail along the Dalmatian coastlines to Dubrovnik. Sitting high on a rocky outcrop, its old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, watches the world go by.
You will sail along the coast before finishing your exploration of the Croatian coastlines with visits of Hvar and Rovinj.
As a grand finale, your voyage will draw an end in Venice the Serenissima and its lagoon. Piazza San Marco, the Doge’s Palace, the Grand Canal and the palaces along the canals will be your last stops on an unforgettable cruise.
- An amazing cruise through the cultural treasures of four countries: Malta, Montenegro, Croatia and Italy.
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the historic centre of Valletta (embarkation port), the old towns of Dubrovnik and Kotor, the plain of Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, the lagoon of Venice (disembarkation port).
