Ships
The cruise takes in the majestic southern Yasawa Islands and also spends time at the strikingly beautiful Modriki and Sacred Islands. It’s not just nature that will have you captivated on this cruise; you’ll get to know and love Fijian culture! Flexible Cruising To ensure you have the best possible cruise experience, we use 'flexible cruising'. What this means is that we're prepared to alter our itineraries, either when necessary, or when some exciting opportunity arises. For example, if there is some special event taking part in a local Yasawa Village, which you really should see, then we will alter our cruise route to take you there. Or, if we think that that our destined anchorage for the night is not going to be as sheltered as a bay on the other side of the island, we'll up-anchor and move. Cruising through a region of coral lagoons and isolated island anchorages is weather dependent and so, at times, our itineraries may need to be altered. However we'll always endeavor to ensure all of the highlights of each cruise are enjoyed by our guests.
- See the dramatic changes in landscape, right from the little palm-covered islands of the Mamanuca Islands, to the rugged, majestic southern Yasawa Islands
- Step ashore at famous little Modriki Island (where the movie Cast Away was filmed)
- Visit a remote Yasawa Island village and be part of a traditional kava ceremony, enjoy a Meke performance and browse the village market
- Learn the Fijian art of basket weaving and learn to cook traditional dishes
- Get to know the 'reef locals' and swim with sharks or manta rays (seasonal)
- Dive at some of Fiji's most colourful reefs (additional cost)
- Snorkel to your heart's content (we offer several snorkelling trips per day)
- Attend an island village church service

Day 1 MODRIKI ISLAND
Cruise to the sandy beaches of Modriki Island, as featured in the Tom Hanks film Cast Away. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and canapés prior to tonight’s Captain’s Welcome Dinner. Your evening will include entertainment provided by our friendly and talented singing, dancing, guitar-playing crew.
DAY 2 SOSO BAY
Before breakfast, plunge into Modriki’s crystal-clear lagoon or wander along its white sandy beach. Spend your morning swimming with reef sharks (weather permitting). Then after lunch, tie your sulu and visit the chiefly village of Soso. Dinner is a traditional Thali dinner, with Bollywood dancing and movies to follow.
DAY 3 NAUKACUVU ISLAND
Sunday is all about tradition. Attend a village church service, then head back to the boat for a Sunday roast lunch. Learn to cook traditional Fijian recipes and enjoy a buffet dinner of Fijian cuisine along with a choice of European dishes before a round of Fijian bingo!
DAY 4 SACRED ISLANDS
Today you’ll have time for an early-morning snorkel, swim or kayak trip. During breakfast we’ll cruise to the Sacred Islands where, after a buffet lunch, you’ll be farewelled by the crew and transferred back to Port Denarau on our private high-speed catamaran. Farewell from Blue Lagoon Cruises.

All the crew, from the Captain to the stewards are Fijian, many coming from the island villages that we visit.
