This itinerary gives you enough time to experience history or undertake your own explorations of medieval towns located on South Dalmatian islands and the Croatian mainland.  And,  don’t worry – you’ll have enough time to simply relax and go swimming. Most evenings you are left to your own devices to try some of the fantastic restaurants that line the harbours and ports of these beautiful old towns. 

Embarking in historic Split, dominated by the ancient Diocletian's Palace, we cruise to Omis and the dramatic Pucisca (Excellent pizzas here). We then cruise to Hvar, a beautiful small medieval port town dominated by a small castle and with  growing reputation for great restaurants. 

The Blue Cave is a spectacular sea cave only accessible through a very small opening (we transfer to small boats for this) where the sunlight reflects off the sandy floor of the cave to illuminate the whole cave through an undersea opening. NB if the sea is rough we will not br able to enter the Blue cave. 

Vis is yet another beautiful old port and the location of Mama Mia II. After Vis we cruise to Korcula, sometimes known as a mini Dubrovnik and the birth place of Marco Polo. 

Next up is Mljet National Park, with 2 connected lakes on an island and a monastery on an island on the lake on the island! You can walk, cycle, kayak, swim or just take a boat across the lake to the monastery of St Mary.

After lunch we cruise to Slano, one of the most picturesque places on the Dubrovnik Riviera, with a beautiful beach,  dense pine forest and olive groves, a long cultural tradition and numerous historical monuments.

Day 2 / Sunday: split – Omiš – Pučišća (Brač Island)

 Our English-speaking guide will do the morning Split City tour and walk us through the historical Diocletian’s Palace. The second largest urban centre in Croatia and the seat of the Split Dalmatia County, Split boasts 1700 years of history. Since 1979 the historic centre of Split has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. City’s historical and cultural buildings are located inside the walls of the Diocletian’s Palace. At 12:00 a.m. we’ll start our cruise to Omiš with lunch on board. An ancient town with city walls, fortresses and stone churches, Omiš is located at the delta of Cetina River with its wonderful beaches. For centuries, Omiš was for a stronghold of famous pirates, a symbol of retaliation, courage and strength in the long historical fight against The Republic of Venice. Our cruise continues across the Brač Channel, all the way to Pučišća, the biggest village on the island of Brač. Nowhere in the system of towns and villages in Dalmatia does terrain play such a compelling role as in Pučišća. Its spectacular irregularity of steep-sided natural harbour, authentic Mediterranean architecture and rustic ambience are simply unforgettable. Stone from Pučišća quarry was used to build limestone columns of the White House in Washington DC, Vienna Parliament and many other famous buildings around the world. Pučišća is also home to the only Croatian Stonemasonry school. We’ll spend a night in this very quiet town. Day 3 / Monday: Pučišća – Bol – Hvar

We'll start our day with a morning departure towards Bol known for having one of the finest European beaches, called Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape). As we stop in Bol, you can relax in this charming Dalmatian town. Have a walk, a cup of coffee or a swim, until lunch is served on board. After lunch we shall continue cruising along many idyllic coves and bays towards Hvar, the sunniest Croatian island. Hvar is one of the most popular and attractive Croatian tourist destinations and a meeting point of the international jet set. Upon your evening arrival in Hvar, a local English-speaking guide will walk you through the town, introducing you to the island’s way of life, its rich history and culture. Afterwards, you'll be free to enjoy your evening in Hvar, to explore and dine in one of its numerous family-owned restaurants or taverns. Overnight in Hvar Historical Town, (B, L)

Day 4 / Tuesday: Hvar – Biševo Blue Cave – Vis

 We'll start our day with a morning cruise towards Island of Biševo and its Blue Cave. Originally, the entrance to Blue Cave was located below sea level, which required visitors to dive deeply in order to resurface into the cave’s mysterious blue depths. However, sometimes high waves prevent the entrance to Blue Cave, which is something we shall not know before the morning designated for our visit. For this reason, entrance fees are paid on the spot. Afterwards we'll dock in Vis and have lunch. Vis is truly unique in comparison to other Adriatic islands. Being an important strategic military stronghold for a long time, Vis was spared the excessive tourist development and thus retained its unspoilt beaches, ecological agriculture and traditional architecture. Enjoy afternoon, exploring the town of Vis, its picturesque stone streets, pristine beaches and fine taverns. For all who are interested we will organize optional Vis Island excursion, ending in Komiža, stunning fishermen's village to have dinner in one of cosy restaurants. Day 5 / Wednesday: Vis – Korčula

We’ll start our day with a morning departure towards the Island of Korčula, with a swim stop and lunch en route. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive to the Korčula Town, on the Island of Korčula. This town is known as a birthplace of Marko Polo, one of the most famous world explorers of all times. Our English-speaking guide will do Korčula City tour and walk us through Korčula’s charming narrow and cobbled streets. You’ll have the rest of the evening free, to enjoy dining at one of the local restaurants of your choice. Overnight in Korčula Historical Town, (B, L)

DAY 6 / Thursday: Korčula – national park Mljet – Slano

Morning cruise to Mljet Island, where you’ll be free to explore National Park Mljet (entrance fees are not included), to walk around the Great and Small Lake, visit The Islet of St. Mary with its Benedictine Monastery dating from the 12th century and, of course, take a swim in the heart of this pristine National Park. Lunch will be served on board as we continue our cruise to Slano, where we shall arrive in the afternoon. Slano is one of the most picturesque places on the Dubrovnik Riviera, with a beautiful beach, dense pine forest and olive groves, a long cultural tradition and numerous historical monuments. This evening, we will have Captain`s dinner on board. Overnight in Slano, (B, L, Captain`s dinner).

Day 7 / Friday: Slano – Dubrovnik

In the morning we’ll depart for Dubrovnik, along the Elaphite islands, where we’ll have a short swim stop and lunch. Upon arrival to Dubrovnik, our own English-speaking guide and coach will come to the pier. We’ll visit the historical centre of Dubrovnik, the famous city enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Site, where our guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik. Following the city tour you will be left on your own to explore Dubrovnik, visit famous City Walls or take a cable car to the top of Mount Srđ. Return coach transfer is scheduled in the evening. Day 3 / Monday: Pučišća – Bol – Hvar

We'll start our day with a morning departure towards Bol known for having one of the finest European beaches, called Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape). As we stop in Bol, you can relax in this charming Dalmatian town. Have a walk, a cup of coffee or a swim, until lunch is served on board. After lunch we shall continue cruising along many idyllic coves and bays towards Hvar, the sunniest Croatian island. Hvar is one of the most popular and attractive Croatian tourist destinations and a meeting point of the international jet set. Upon your evening arrival in Hvar, a local English-speaking guide will walk you through the town, introducing you to the island’s way of life, its rich history and culture. Afterwards, you'll be free to enjoy your evening in Hvar, to explore and dine in one of its numerous family-owned restaurants or taverns. Overnight in Hvar Historical Town, (B, L)

Day 4 / Tuesday: Hvar – Biševo Blue Cave – Vis

 We'll start our day with a morning cruise towards Island of Biševo and its Blue Cave. Originally, the entrance to Blue Cave was located below sea level, which required visitors to dive deeply in order to resurface into the cave’s mysterious blue depths. However, sometimes high waves prevent the entrance to Blue Cave, which is something we shall not know before the morning designated for our visit. For this reason, entrance fees are paid on the spot. Afterwards we'll dock in Vis and have lunch. Vis is truly unique in comparison to other Adriatic islands. Being an important strategic military stronghold for a long time, Vis was spared the excessive tourist development and thus retained its unspoilt beaches, ecological agriculture and traditional architecture. Enjoy afternoon, exploring the town of Vis, its picturesque stone streets, pristine beaches and fine taverns. For all who are interested we will organize optional Vis Island excursion, ending in Komiža, stunning fishermen's village to have dinner in one of cosy restaurants. Reservations and payment on the spot. Overnight in Vis Town, (B, L)

Day 5 / Wednesday: Vis – Korčula

We’ll start our day with a morning departure towards the Island of Korčula, with a swim stop and lunch en route. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive to the Korčula Town, on the Island of Korčula. This town is known as a birthplace of Marko Polo, one of the most famous world explorers of all times. Our English-speaking guide will do Korčula City tour and walk us through Korčula’s charming narrow and cobbled streets. You’ll have the rest of the evening free, to enjoy dining at one of the local restaurants of your choice. Overnight in Korčula Historical Town, (B, L)

DAY 6 / Thursday: Korčula – national park Mljet – Slano

Morning cruise to Mljet Island, where you’ll be free to explore National Park Mljet (entrance fees are not included), to walk around the Great and Small Lake, visit The Islet of St. Mary with its Benedictine Monastery dating from the 12th century and, of course, take a swim in the heart of this pristine National Park. Lunch will be served on board as we continue our cruise to Slano, where we shall arrive in the afternoon. Slano is one of the most picturesque places on the Dubrovnik Riviera, with a beautiful beach, dense pine forest and olive groves, a long cultural tradition and numerous historical monuments. This evening, we will have Captain`s dinner on board. Overnight in Slano, (B, L, Captain`s dinner).

Day 7 / Friday: Slano – Dubrovnik

In the morning we’ll depart for Dubrovnik, along the Elaphite islands, where we’ll have a short swim stop and lunch. Upon arrival to Dubrovnik, our own English-speaking guide and coach will come to the pier. We’ll visit the historical centre of Dubrovnik, the famous city enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Site, where our guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik. Following the city tour you will be left on your own to explore Dubrovnik, visit famous City Walls or take a cable car to the top of Mount Srđ. Return coach transfer is scheduled in the evening. You can return on your own if you wish so. Learn why Dubrovnik is known around the world as “The Pearl of Adriatic”. Overnight in Dubrovnik, (B, L)

Day 8 / Saturday: Dubrovnik

After breakfast, the time has come to say farewell to all your new friends. (B)

The modern Captain Bota is a very comfortable vessel specifically designed to cruise the Dalamatian Coast of Croatia. The 41 metre long vessel has 18 air conditioned cabins and she carries a maximum of just 40 passengers. There's plenty of space to relax on the deck, in the sun or in the shade, in the saloon or in the lounge, and the crew provide lovely meals with fresh local produce. You can swim from the swim platform every day and explore the towns and ports we visit in the afternoons and evenings.

18 light airy cabins, 10 on deck and 8 lower deck, all with air conditioning and en-suite WC & shower. There is 1 triple cabin on each deck.

M/S Elixir is a 40 m long, 8 m wide deluxe ship purely designed to sail the Croatian Coast, being small enough to access the many small ports and harbours that dot this spectacular coastline. Elixir was completely renovated in 2025.

All guest cabins were completely renovated and are very comfortable, fully air-conditioned, with an independent ventilation system and have modern private ensuites with toilet and shower.

All cabins are equipped with beds 200×80 cm or 200×160 cm, satellite LCD TV, table and chair, mirror, night lamps, safe deposit box, radio, hairdryer, 220 V electric supply, lifejacket, wardrobe and luggage space under bed, as well as the latest safety and fire alarm and sound system for notification of a cruise manager or group leader.

Main Deck Cabins -

Cabins on the Main deck can be twin, double or triple bedded. There is one window in each cabin, which can be opened a little. There is individually controlled air conditioning, TV with satellite, a wardrobe, hairdryer, a safe deposit box with key, and enough space for your luggage under the bed. The cabins are equipped with their own private bathroom, including wc, shower, wash basin and bathroom necessities. Cabin sizes: 10-12 m2.

Lower Deck Cabin - 

Cabins on the lower deck can be twin, double or triple bedded. There are two portholes in each cabin, which cannot be opened. There is individually controlled air conditioning, TV with satellite, a wardrobe, hairdryer, a safe deposit box with key, and enough space for your luggage under the bed. The cabins are equipped with their own private bathroom, including wc, shower, wash basin and bathroom necessities. Cabin sizes: 11-13 m2.

Restaurant -

The fully air- conditioned salon-restaurant is on the upper deck, with separate bar and lounge area, big screen LCD TV, corner table for buffet breakfast, wireless internet, loud speakers and audio-system for announcements by the Captain or cruise manager, and beautiful large windows.

Terrace/Lobby Bar -

Outside and fully covered, the completely renovated terrace has a sitting area, tables and chairs.

Sun Deck -

The sun deck that covers 250 m2 with sunbeds for passengers, while part of a sun deck is shaded for clients’ comfort. Here you can enjoy a Rooftop Jacuzzi.

Swimming Platform - 

Elixir has a bplatform for swimming, with 2 ladders with handholds for easy access to the water and two outdoor showers and public toilets. There are a lot of swim stops in the itinerary so you can enjoy swimming in beautiful Adriatic sea and discover secluded beaches.

Construction material is steel with mahogany and iroko wood.

She has 19 spacious cabins with private facilities and air-conditioning providing accommodation for up to maximum 38+4 persons. Experienced crew of 6 will make your cruise unforgettable.

Passenger cabins are situated on three decks while crew members are accommodated in separate quarters. All guest cabins are very comfortable, fully air conditioned and conveniently designed with modern private en suites, toilet and shower in cabin.

Cabins are equipped with beds in size 200×80 cm or 200×170 cm with wooden wallboards, working table, chair, mirror, night lamps, safe deposit box, radio, hair dryer, 220 V electric supply, lifejacket, wardrobe and luggage space under bed, as well as the latest safety and fire alarm.

Splendid was built and launched under the Croatian flag in 2014  with two engines + two generators for Air-condition system and 220 Volts with standard cruising speed of 9 knots.
