Day 1 Istanbul, Türkiye

Throughout thousands of years Istanbul's geographical position has maintained its importance. Today it is a huge metropolis connecting continents, cultures and religions and is home to eleven million people and one of the greatest business and cultural centres of the region.

Day 2 At sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalising spa (Royal Clipper only) and a peaceful library.

Day 3 Dikili, Türkiye

Dikili is a quiet little town, with a harbour lined with restaurants and shops. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the site of Pergamon, with its acropolis perched 280 metres high and its Asclepion.

Day 4 Myrina - Limnos, Greece

It was Zeus who hurled Hephaestus from Mt. Olympus to land on Limnos, leaving the god of metalworking with a permanent limp. Perhaps he was nursed to health by excellent red and white wines (fortified or not) grown on Limnos volcanic soils. The town of Myrina sits under the winding white ramparts of the Kastro, built in 1186. But even earlier ruins - one of most ancient sites in Greece - lie in nearby Poliohni.

Day 5 Morning sailing along Agio Oros peninsula & Ouranoupoli, Greece

As the morning light rises over the Aegean Sea, the ship moves calmly along the Agio Oros peninsula, home to the monastic republic of Mount Athos. It follows the western coastline, where ancient monasteries appear one after another, set on wooded slopes or perched above rugged shores. The passage is gentle and quiet, offering a privileged moment to observe the harmony between sea, mountains, and these timeless buildings. It is an ideal time to settle on deck and take in the beauty of the landscape.

Ouranoupoli is a tranquil Greek village located at the gateway to Mount Athos on the Halkidiki peninsula. Known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, it offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. Visitors can explore the Byzantine Tower of Ouranoupoli, stroll along charming streets, and enjoy fresh seafood at local tavernas, all while experiencing the area’s rich history and serene beauty.

Day 6 Skopelos, Greece

This picturesque island, made famous by the film ‘Mamma Mia!’, offers a unique blend of unspoilt nature and traditional Greek culture. Wander through the narrow streets of Skopelos Town with its whitewashed houses and Byzantine churches, relax on dreamy beaches such as Panormos and Kastani, and enjoy delicious local cuisine.

Day 7 Poros, Greece

Poros, sometimes called Kavalria, is very close to the Argolid peninsula. It is home to the Greek Naval Academy and visitors can hear the cadet band every morning. Above all, Paros is a gateway to the sanctuary of Asclepius, the Mecca of Greek medicine, and the theatre of Epidaurus, built to host the Asclepia (or Asclepian Games), a competition in honour of the physician god Asclepius. It served as a model for many other Greek theatres...

Day 8 Piraeus (Port of Athens), Greece

Walking in the shadow of the Acropolis in the Agora, you can almost hear the voices of Plato, Socrates and Aristotle arguing about who was the greatest philosopher. Ancient Athens, the birthplace of democracy and epicenter of western civilization, is a city for all eternity. Piraeus is the port of Athens, just 15km from the city and 45km from the airport.

Star Flyer is a true clipper ship reflecting it's proud heritage in every inch of her polished brass and gleaming brightwork. Step aboard this unique vessel and discover a new age of sail, where the traditions of the past are happily married to the comforts and amenities of the present day. Star Flyer is a modern cruise ship in every way, created for luxury-loving passengers who also love the traditions and romance of the legendary era of sailing ships. Star Flyer is 360 feet long and carries just 170 guests in pampered comfort.

Life aboard is blissfully relaxed, much like traveling on a private yacht. You’ll never feel confined on Star Flyer. Ship offers spacious accommodations and expansive teak decks with ample space and not one, but two swimming pools. In fact, you’ll find that this ship offers more outdoor space per passenger than most conventional cruise ships.

The décor of Star Flyer is reminiscent of the grand age of sail. Antique prints and paintings of famous sailing ships please the eye, while teak and gleaming mahogany rails are richly reminiscent of Star Clippers’ proud nautical heritage.

All Star Clippers ships feature open-seating dining in an elegantly appointed dining room, our convivial indoor-outdoor Tropical Bar and Piano Bar, and an Edwardian style library where a Belle Époque fireplace glows with a warmth that reflects the friendliness and enthusiasm of Star Clippers’ hospitable officers and crew.
