Day 1 Individual travel arrangements to cruise departure point Hamburg/Germany, departure 19.00 hrs Evening cruise on the Elbe
Day 2 List/Sylt/Germany, 13.00 – 23.30 hrs  (subject to the tides)

For decades, Sylt has been regarded as the epitome of North German elegance and natural beauty. In addition to Westerland’s promenade, the thatched houses in exclusive Kampen and quaint Keitum with its captains’ houses, the northernmost municipality of List is a real gem for explorers. Where salt flats, dunes and heathland come together is scenic harmony, the island’s unique character unfolds. Nature lovers will be in their element on a guided walk through the mudflats*. The Erlebniszentrum Naturgewalten (Forces of nature experience centre) at the harbour in List provides deeper insight in the world of the tides, offering interactive learning across 1,500 m² (16,146 ft²). Sylt offers culinary diversity of the highest standard – from freshly caught fish in typical beach huts to Michelin-starred cuisine with sea views. Relaxation and adventure, enjoy the beach and unwind: thanks to the long lay time, you’ll enjoy fascinating experiences until the evening hours.

Day 3 Esbjerg/Denmark, 07.00 – 18.00 hrs

On the rugged coast of Jutland, Esbjerg will introduce you to its maritime heart and a modern outlook on the future. This charming Danish town combines a lively harbour atmosphere with Nordic serenity. A great blend of coastline, culture and cuisine. Even from afar, the white sculptural group “Man meets the sea” greets you as a modern landmark. In the city centre, wide boulevards, Denmark’s longest pedestrian zone and cosy cafes invite you to stroll and while away some time. Esbjerg takes you on an architectural journey through time – from the historic market square and the striking water tower dating from 1897 to the clean lines of the modern Musikhuset Esbjerg, designed by Jorn and Jan Utzon. A maritime attraction is the Fishing and Maritime Museum with its large aquarium and seal pool. Esbjerg surprises, slows things down and makes you want to visit Denmark.

Day 4 Helgoland/Germany, 07.00 – 20.00 hrs

You have probably heard a lot about this island and perhaps even visited it – but you won’t yet have explored it with the pioneering spirit of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises: Helgoland. Like a lighthouse built of red brick, Lange Anna on the north-western tip of the island shows birdwatchers the way. Right next to the famous rock is one of the world’s smallest nature reserves, the Lummenfelsen. With a bit of luck, you will be able to spot various species of gull and guillemots, as well as seals and grey seals, from the deck. In the shadow of the rock that rises up almost 50 m (164 ft) out of the sea, the ship’s experts will shed light on the ornithological and geological features of the island. If the local conditions permit, the Zodiacs will be put to use for a true expedition experience. Lange Anna, a natural landmark, adds a final exclamation point to the wealth of contrasts discovered in unchartered territory almost right on your doorstep.
