Step aboard the True North in Broome, where our attentive crew will greet you with a refreshing cocktail. As you settle into the luxurious surroundings, enjoy the exceptional onboard amenities, including gourmet dining and spacious lounges. Then, a relaxing overnight steam to the serene Yampi Sound, where your adventure begins.
Today, we will explore the breathtaking Buccaneer Archipelago of over 800 islands, known for its rich biodiversity, lush mangroves, and pristine white sandy beaches – home to a diverse array of wildlife. Experience stunning scenic flights over the region, including an exhilarating flyover of the iconic Horizontal Falls. Our journey also includes fishing and sightseeing tours led by knowledgeable naturalists.
Today, you’ll have the chance to rise at dawn to catch barramundi at “Three Ways,” followed by a bush walk to Ruby Falls, where you can swim in its secret, remote location. Lunch will be served as we weigh anchor and cruise to another Kimberley icon, Montgomery Reef. Here, you’ll witness a spectacle – a 140-square miles of coral reef rising right out of the ocean, hosting whales, dugongs, crocodiles, and a whole world of remarkable sea creatures.
At Prince Regent River, you’ll have your pick of unmissable fishing spots targeting mangrove jack and fingermark bream. Then, at King Cascade, we’ll refresh in natural rock pools. Then, embark on a Heli-Fishing adventure to a secret, remote location. Lunch will be served as we weigh anchor and cruise to another Kimberley icon, Montgomery Reef. Here, you’ll witness a spectacle – a 140-square miles of coral reef rising right out of the ocean, hosting whales, dugongs, crocodiles, and a whole world of remarkable sea creatures.
Wake up with the sunrise and spend the morning fishing with our experienced guides, or discover ancient rock art with our naturalist. Then, manoeuvre the vessel right under the falls for an iconic True North experience. Later, we’ll head out for a bush walk that leads to incredible views and an equally incredible swim in a picture-perfect billabong, or visit the spectacular Amphitheatre Waterfall.
With stunning red cliffs set against rainforest and mangroves, the Hunter River offers the perfect setting for mud-crabbing, bird-watching, and exploring. Embark on an exhilarating hike to the hidden Jackson Falls, or see more breathtaking views from the helicopter. Then in the afternoon we’ll set sail into Prince Frederick Harbour for sunset drinks on the picturesque Crystal Beach.
Wake up to the stunning turquoise waters of Swift Bay and join us for a hunt for the famous giant black-lip oyster. Then, explore ancient Wandjina rock art, followed by sunset drinks on the picturesque Winyalkin Island.
Today we’ll head upriver to the scenic Surveyors Creek, known for its big crocs. You’ll then have the option to join in the hunt for barramundi or hop in the chopper for a ride over the ancient landscapes towards the breathtaking Mitchell Falls. Then, join us for our exclusive pearl and diamond party. Indulge in a glass of bubbly while trying on exquisite pieces crafted by the artisans at Allure, Jewels of the Kimberley, and Kimberley Fine Diamonds.
Today, we’ll visit the Gwion Gwion, also known as “Bradshaw” rock art, ancient paintings that may be the oldest known to man. Afterwards, fish for mackerel in Vansittart Bay, take a helicopter to Eagle Falls for a picnic lunch amidst breathtaking scenery, or tender to local beaches and creeks.
As soon as the tide is high enough at the King George, we’ll cross the sandbar at the mouth to reveal even more breathtaking river vistas. Our journey upstream will take us to the spectacular King George Falls. The captain will position True North so directly underneath the falls, giving our guests the shower of a lifetime. Then, hop in the ship’s helicopter to enjoy a magnificent bird’s-eye view of this Kimberley icon.
Your courtesy coach will transfer you to Kununurra, but your adventure doesn’t have to end here. The TRUE NORTH allows discerning adventurers to experience wilderness in surroundings more akin to one of the world’s most exclusive hotels.
