The first tour of its kind, our Gauchos, Glaciers & Penguins expedition provides a round-trip experience from Punta Arenas, visiting by land and sea the stunning landscapes and wildlife of Tierra del Fuego. During this adventure, we visit a small King Penguin colony, before overnighting at Tierra del Fuego and next day visit an estancia for a true gaucho experience. We'll then make our way into the lovely port of Ushuaia where we will embark on the Via Australis. During your nights on board, we visit areas only accessible using our small expedition ship. Our excursions via zodiac take you to Cape Horn, where you have the opportunity to disembark (weather and seas permitting), Wulaia Bay, a colony of Magellanic Penguins, stunning glaciers and other areas visited by the great explorers. The voyage will end in charming Punta Arenas.

For many years it was an important navigation route for sailboats between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, and it is known as the End of the World. The park was declared a World Biosphere Reserve in 2005.In the afternoon, we will go ashore at historical Wulaia Bay, originally the site of one of the regions largest Yamana aboriginal settlement.
