Dubrovnik to Venice in Luxury

You will be transferred from Dubrovnik airport to the port, where embarkation begins at 14:00h. Get settled in your cabin before going on a walking tour of Dubrovnik around 17:00h, the “Pearl of Adriatic”. Walk through Stradun – both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as UNESCO’s World Heritage site, where your guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik. After returning to ship enjoy a Welcome reception followed by dinner this evening. 

Early in the morning enjoy the magic scenery as the ship cruises around Dubrovnik city walls to continue to one of the Elaphiti islands for a swim  stop. Afternoon arrival in Slano, a peaceful fishermen’s village and our  starting point to Ston, situated on Peljesac peninsula and once fortified small village famous for its oysters which we will taste in a nearby village.  Peljesac peninsula is known as one of the best wine-producing regions in Croatia. Tonight, enjoy Captain’s dinner and overnight in Slano.

In the morning we head north to the Island of Mljet. Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Continue our cruise towards the Korčula island, best known as a  birthplace of MarcoPolo. Afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town surrounded by walls, which is one of the best-preserved  medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Overnight in Korčula where you can enjoy a gourmet experience at the multiple restaurants and bars. 

In the morning, we are sailing towards the island of Hvar, Along the way to Island of Hvar we take a short break swimming, cooling off and relaxing,  if the weather permits. Lunch on board and set sail for Hvar on the island  of Hvar, a charming seaside town with 8 centuries of architecture, and a favorite holiday destination for international celebrities. During a walking tour, visit many historical sites, such as St Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor, the first municipal theatre in Europe. Above the town is the impressive Fortress Fortica, offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni Islands. Your evening is free to explore more and dine on your own in one of the many restaurants. Overnight in one of the harbours on Hvar Island.

Early in the morning we sail to the small island of Biševo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. The possibility of our visit will depend on weather conditions; however, you will be notified of this ime. Afterwards continue to Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and  restricted to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm – " the Mediterranean as it once was” making it interesting to visit. Since the  independence of Croatia, the island began opening slowly to the outside world. Some of Europe's largest and greatest naval battles happened in the waters of Vis. Vis Island holds many historic secrets and we will explore Vis history by military Land Rover Defenders. Overnight in one of the harbours on Vis Island.

Early morning we head towards Milna on the Island of Brač with a swim stop, weather permitting, in one of pristine bays, time to relax and lunch on board. After lunch disembark in Milna and take a ride with us to the Olive Oil Museum where we will share with you the story of this island’s traditions and history and tasting of traditional homemade olive oil. Overnight in one of the harbours on Brač Island.

Note: Due to limited capacity at Milna Harbour (during peak season), the port of call may be substituted with one of the nearby harbours.

In the morning, we will head towards Trogir with a stop along the way to swim and relax, if the weather permits, with lunch on board. After docking, join a short orientation tour through this medieval city. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini Dubrovnik” because of its ancient  walls, or a “floating museum town” - as it has a masterful architecture including some stunning Venetian palaces. In the late afternoon we will take a ride to Split where you will join a guided tour of historic old town that takes us to the Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Enjoy your free time in Split and explore the city on your own. After an exciting evening, we transfer you to the ship. Overnight in Trogir.

Note: Due to the limited capacity of the Split harbour (reconstructions related) we may sail directly to the port of Trogir. In that case transfer by bus will be organised to and from Split town for the sightseeing tour.

After breakfast it’s time to disembark and bid our crew farewell. We journey north by motorcoach for a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In Plitvice, we walk around several of the lower lakes. The Park is a natural wonder with 16 terraced lakes surrounded by wooded mountains and lush vegetation. After our visit, we motor on to Opatija where dinner is served at our hotel. 

After breakfast, we travel to Slovenia and visit the unique and beautiful Postojna Cave, one of the largest in Europe. We tour this wondrous subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterwards, we drive to Venice. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. We began exploring Venice with the visit of St. Mark’s Square, viewing the St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, and enjoying views of the Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Venice.  

We begin exploring Venice with a boat ride to Murano Island, famous for its artistic glassware. Visit a glassblowing factory, where you will watch a demonstration of traditional Venetian glassblowing by master craftsmen. Then, on to St. Mark’s Square, for the walking tour, viewing the St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, and enjoying views of the Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. The balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy Venice at your own pace, shop, or join an optional gondola ride.(B)

Because of the narrow and cobbled streets, walking is the primary way of getting around. Please make sure you pack comfortable walking shoes.
