Day 1 - Miami, FL
Located on Floridas southeastern tip, Miami is a vibrant city with a medley of cultures. Take in Miamis colorful art deco architecture and its historic neighborhood communities. Youll be astounded by everything there is to do in Miami, from discovering Coconut Groves lush vegetation to visiting local cafes and cigar shops. Day 2 - Caibarien, CU
Defined by its charm, travelers report that some of their best Cuban experiences come at ultra-friendly Caibarien, which is colorfully framed by its restored malecon sea wall and weather-lashed fishing fleet. Nine kilometers east of Remedios and 40km from the alluring Cayerias del Norte, the town is famous for having the best cangrejo (crab) in Cuba. Gorgeous pedestrian walkways can be found bordering city streets, adorned with statues, park benches, and small trees.
Day 3 - Matanzas
Located on Cubas North shore, sixty miles west of Havana, Matanzas earned the designation as the City of Bridges because of the 17 different bridges that span across the 3 rivers that traverse the city. The city is rooted in Afro-Cuban history and home to many artists, poets, historians and museums. Cultural diversity is celebrated as century-old traditions continue to be passed from one generation to another. This diversity has helped create various styles of music and dance, including danzon and rumba. The Teatro Sauto, a national monument, opened in 1863 and is a magnificent venue for Cuban plays, operas, symphonies, ballets and concerts.
Day 4 - Havana (Day 1)
The colorful capital of Cuba, Havana is a mesmerizing city with beautiful colonial edifices and a dramatic coastline. The core of the city is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Havana. Known for its architecturally impressive plazas and outstanding series of fortifications, Old Havana displays Cuban Culture at its finest. Old Havanas five plazas are home to churches, palaces, castles, monuments and markets that come together to create one of the most impressive historical city centers in the Caribbean basin. The complex defenses that once held off pirates are some of the oldest and largest colonial fortifications in the Americas, such as Castillo de la Real Fuerza which began construction in 1558.
Day 5 - Havana (Day 2)
The capital city of Havana is far too interesting to see it all in just one day! Well spend our second day continuing to explore everything that makes Havana one of the greatest capitals in the Caribbean Basin. Catedral de San Cristobal is one of the most beautiful churches in Havana. Plaza de Armas is where military drills once took place in the 16th century. Gran Teatro de la Havana, the Great Theater of Havana is famous for particularly for the acclaimed National Ballet of Cuba.
Day 6 - Maria La Gorda
Savannah has been welcoming visitors since 1733. Youll find amazing architecture and plenty to do. Stroll through Savannahs historic squares where youll find trendy shops and funky stores. Be sure to visit the Historic District, where one can find antique shops, art galleries, books, clothing, and gift stores. In 2002 Savannah was named Americas Most Haunted City by the American Institute of Parapsychology. This is why when strolling the streets you might start to notice a recurring color painted on the door frames, porches and window sills of many Savannah homes. The blue/green color, or Haint Blue, is not only aesthetically pleasing, but according to the Geechee/Gulla culture of the Lowcountry, has an important purpose to ward off evil spirits.
