Day 1 Monte Carlo/Monaco Overnight stay on board
Day 2 Monte Carlo/Monaco, departure 09.00 hrs
Day 3 Portoferraio/Elba/Italy, 08.00 – 24.00 hrs

Portoferraio on the Italian island of Elba has a long history dating back to the Roman Empire, when iron ore mining brought riches to the town. Two of the splendid Roman villas can still be visited today. Portoferraio owes much of its fame to Napoleon Bonaparte, who made the capital of Elba his winter residence in 1814. However, it’s not just history that impresses here: the island in the Tuscan Archipelago also appeals thanks to its tropical beaches, crystal-clear waters and dramatic coastal landscapes, part of Europe’s largest protected marine reserve, the Parco Nazionale dell’Arcipelago Toscano.

Day 4 Porto Santo Stefano/Italy, 07.00 – 18.00 hrs

Porto Santo Stefano on the coast of Tuscany invites you to immerse yourself in Mediterranean flair. Its eventful history dates back to ancient times – various rulers valued the location as an important military, trading and fishing port. Remains such as the Fortezza Spagnola tell tales of ancient shipbuilding and underwater archaeology behind historic walls. Wander through the narrow lanes of the old town or walk along the Lungomare dei Navigatori past lively cafes and bobbing yachts and enjoy the stunning views over the azure-blue sea. A visit to the fish market at Porto del Valle is an authentic experience, with the bustle of activity early in the morning when fishermen offer freshly caught fish and seafood.

Day 5 Sorrento/Italy, 10.00 – 23.00 hrs

Sorrento is an experience from the water alone: perched high on steep black cliffs of volcanic rock, the small town sits on a tuff terrace and is framed by the imposing cliffs of the limestone mountains. For centuries, it has attracted visitors from all over the world – with golden sunsets and the scent of orange and lemon trees. Discover the cathedral with its magnificent interior design and the elegant Museo Correale or stroll down to the scenic Marina Grande, the old fishing district, where taverns serve freshly caught fish. A taste of the famous limoncello, made from the bright lemons of Sorrento, is an absolute must here.

Day 6 Ponza/Pontinian Islands/Italy, 08.00 – 19.00 hrs

Turquoise caves, steep cliffs and idyllic beaches – the scenic beauty of Ponza, the largest of the Pontinian Islands, is truly eye-catching. According to legend, Odysseus and his companions were stranded here, and the Circe cave brings the island’s ancient past back to life. The romantic main town with its pastel-coloured houses and charming bars exudes a relaxed atmosphere, making it an inviting place to watch the comings and goings of the yachts and fishing boats in the harbour. Ponza is a perfect place to enjoy the magic of Italy’s coastal scenery.

Day 7 Tropea/Italy, 08.30 – 18.30 hrs & Cruising off Stromboli/Lipari Islands/Italy

High above the turquoise sea lies the pearl of Calabria, Tropea, clinging to the clifftop. The old town is enchanting with its narrow streets and squares and the air is filled with the scent of lemons and the smiles of the people. From the church of Santa Maria dell’Isola, visitors have a magnificent view of the endless blue sea surrounding the town. Life in Tropea follows the rhythm of the waves and the sea breeze that rises up into the hills, and is bathed in the warmth of Calabria, which permeates through every corner of the town.

Stromboli, one of Europe’s most active volcanoes, rises majestically from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its natural spectacle has fascinated sailors and poets for thousands of years: marvel at the sight of smoke rising above its summit from the many open deck areas on board, while after dark, glowing fountains of fire illuminate its slopes.

Day 8 Syracuse/Sicily/Italy, 08.00 – 23.00 hrs

Crossing the Ponte Santa Lucia and Ponte Nuevo bridges, you’ll reach the historic heart of Syracuse, a city in south-eastern Sicily that was once one of the most powerful commercial centres of the ancient world. The centrally located Neapolis archaeological park includes the Roman amphitheatre, the Teatro Greco and the Orecchio di Dionisio, a limestone cave shaped like a human ear. The impressive cathedral of Santa Maria delle Colonne was built on the site of several temples dedicated to the goddess Athena. Thanks to this fascinating blend of ancient and baroque elements, Syracuse has earned UNESCO World Heritage status.

Day 9 Relaxation at sea
Day 10 Civitavecchia (Rome)/Italy, arrival 06.00 hrs

* The shore activities are not included in the cruise price and are in the planning stage. Subject to change.
