San Jose

Find the perfect trip

STANDARD CABIN - San Jose’s eight twin cabins are very spacious and stretch from port to starboard. These measure about 2,50 x 5,80 m. (8 x 19 ft.), including the private bathroom with hot/cold water and a bright sea view window. All cabins are exterior facing and have windows and a seaside door (instead of dark cabins with just a small porthole, common on many yachts sailing in Galapagos). Both can be opened to let in daylight and fresh air, though each cabin has privately controlled air conditioning as well. Thanks to the innovative design all cabins are located in the quieter upper front half of the yacht, and not directly above or next to the engine room, which is located beneath the dining room. This guarantees a better sleep during the mainly overnight passages, minimizing disturbance from engine noise in your cabin. Besides that our routes also contain some quiet nights with shorter passages and anchorages at relatively sheltered bays. All cabins have regular twin beds, which are convertible in one double configuration if desired (no bunk beds!). There are also a nightstand and a small desk with an inspiring sea view (also ideal for photographers that want to backup and select their shots in the privacy of their cabin). There is a closet to store your luggage. Cabin and bathroom windows are equipped with roller blinds for your privacy.

The San José is 16-passenger yacht, designed for navigation in the Galapagos Archipelago. The yacht was carefully planned and built during 2004 in Guayaquil, Ecuador with the comfort of her guests in mind. Each of the eight double cabins has full air conditioning, a private bathroom, and is incredibly spacious. Additionally, the engine room is located below the living and dining room, to ensure minimal disturbance from engine noise during navigation.

The social areas include a lovely dining room, lounge, bar, TV, DVD, and a small library. The San José also offers plenty of outside areas to relax and enjoy the natural sceneries of the Galapagos Islands. There are various carpeted deck areas with reclining chairs and an outdoor bar. On the top deck, there is a sun deck which is great for relaxation and panoramic views.
